It says a lot about who you are… what you love.
Some may not take me for a Cinephile… but I love the movies and going to the theater… and I can gladly see more people leaving their couches and going back out into the romantic world… if an Indy film house, a museum… or the Opera.
Not all have access as much as they’d like… including me when I’m home on my farm, but… I find ways to sit under the stars… and bring movies to me.
I love a projector and a big white sheet draped in the backyard between trees… some twinkly lights, a blanket, a basket of treats, and a good friend—human or animal.
And, I get asked quite often… what are my favorite films?… There are so many… I thought I'd share my latest list here amongst friendly fellows first—these are just off the top of my head… some of the films I’ve recently watched, rewatched, and enjoyed while I’ve been on the road… in place of harvesting my garden—who I miss dearly… and tenderly…
Most (or all) can be found on Criterion…
I’m not a critic… but all of these films linger… I find myself thinking of them days after watching, and to me… that’s the sign of a good movie.
